Alternative hip hop group The Pharcyde, bring their heavy and humourous beats to Brooklyn Bowl after a series of much hyped and rammed gigs back in the US and across Europe. The group have earned themselves a place amongst the godfathers of hip-hop alongside the likes of A Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul and are sure to bring some of their smart South-Central sensibility to Greenwich.

Beach Streets Village Fest

On Saturday, June 6th, Long Beach City Councilmember Rex Richardson and the Uptown Business District will host the Beach Streets Village Fest at Houghton Park. The festival will feature musical performances, heath activations, a skate expo and more!

Some of the the music lineup includes:

-Stacy Barth, neo soul
-Yo Yo, 90’s hip-hop
-Los Rakas, latin reggae
-Blu & Exile, hip-hop
-Ervin Arana, contemporary DJ
-Buck Bowen, new age hip-hop
-Philosophy, poetic inspiration
-Ryan Lucas, gospel hip-hop insporation
-Special guest host Spicy Mari from Real 92.3

We’re pulling out all the stops to make sure we showcase all the excitement and vitality that defines the 9th District and the ongoing Uptown Renaissance.

The Village Fest is a free concert benefiting the North Long Beach Education Fund, and will be a major highlight at Beach Streets Uptown, an open streets event that transforms Atlantic Avenue in North Long Beach into a beyond-bicycle-friendly open street event that encourage residents to walk, bike, shop, and enjoy musical performances throughout the route
